Next, spread a layer of chili all over the tortillas. Do not neglect the edges because you will taste the lack of chili later. Generously sprinkle cheese on top of the chili and start your next layer.
When I made this I did not use my chili sparingly and ran out at my third layer in an 8×8 dish. Keep that in mind while you are layering!
Once you have put the cheese on your last layer, sprinkle onion evenly.
