With a little imagination, you can turn trash into something beautiful! Instead of disposing of tin cans, save them until you are inspired to create!
Just look at how these tin cans were transformed into gorgeous decorations. I think the appeal for me is the textures of the material used: burlap and jute.
A tutorial on how to assemble these beauties is not available at this time. The pictures are pretty self-explanatory.
I think experimenting with different paint finishes could allow you to use these repurposed tin cans all over the house.
You could try doing a set with a crackle finish. Here is a website on how to create that awesome crackle finish with Elmer’s Glue!!! You will need to pick out two colors for this look. One as a base color that you want to see through the cracks and the other as your main color.
I think distressed finish would also look great! You can do this with, again, two paint colors. The ingredient that makes all this possible is Vaseline. The directions on how to achieve this look can be found here. The use of cabinet scrappers is not necessary for this project. You will only need the sanding block.
Below is another variation from Fox Hollow Cottage. This is more of a fall look! I love it!
